The programme “Sonnenstunden” enables cultural activities for children and young people from Ukraine who have fled to Germany. “Sonnenstunden” aims to create protected spaces for them in which they can take advantage of cultural opportunities or become creative.
Projects between 1,000 euros and 5,000 euros can be applied for until 8 May 2022. Eligible to apply for the funding programme are cultural institutions that are open to the public, including those run on a voluntary basis, that are non-profit or public corporations (e.g. literature houses, puppet theatres, music and children’s theatres, music and art schools), cultural heritage institutions pursuant to § 2 KGSG that are also non-profit (e.g. museums, libraries, archives), as well as non-profit project promoters with a clear cultural orientation (e.g. independent theatres, musical ensembles, cultural promotion associations).
